Liverpool acted very early with their transfer business this winter window, signing RB Salzburg hotshot Takumi Minamino before the turn of the year, and with a lack of movement since, it appears their business is all but done.

According to a Sky Sports report in December, the Reds had received several enquiries about right-back Nathaniel Clyne heading into January, with them also claiming that the Englishman had a good chance of leaving the club this month.
However, David Ornstein has provided a fresh update on the matter – speaking in a Q&A on The Athletic, he said:
“Nathaniel Clyne is set to stay at Liverpool – doesn’t sound like a move will materialise before the deadline now – and leave as a free agent in the summer. No other exits expected from Anfield, either.”
David Ornstein, The Athletic.
It remains to be seen if this move was a decision on the club’s part or down to a lack of interest from other teams, but it seems unlikely that Clyne will have a particularly fruitful end to his Liverpool career.
